Straight Outta Philly: Authentic Flavors & Friendly Vibes in Newport News

Anytime I'm in the area, I have to stop here and grab a cheesesteak loaded with ALL the toppings! Great little spot with a hometown vibe. "And believe me, the food is always phenomenal."

At first I was skeptical going in, but man the older lady who treated us showed amazing southern hospitality. The food was amazing, and you could tell the general perception was good because the “city” such as police officers, paramedics, firefighters etc were all coming in and picking up their food. I will be back.

Probably one of the best food places ever. The food and presentation is just unbeatable. The service is quick, helpful, and the staff are kind. The atmosphere also looks great, way better than any other restaurant. There is also plenty of room to sit even during lunch hour. The servings are also enough to feed at least 2 people. The drinks are also just as great! I’ll definitely come back whenever I can with the fabulous prices too. Here is the menu down below if you are interested. (the food variety is also terrific)

I had a Philly, fries, and sweet tea. All were good. The score would be higher if the bread was more like the Brickhouse Tavern roll they use on their Philly. The roll comes from some bakery I don't remember the name of, but it is really good. I may or may not come back for the Philly, but I do want to try other things on their menu. They had a hot dog special I want to try. I love a good Hot Dog with chili, slaw, onions, and mustard. There are restaurants I wonder how they stay in business.....this place is the opposite of that. I hope it continues to succeed.

My wife and I ate there Friday. The service was fast, friendly and the shop was very clean. My wife got a chicken steak salad and she was blown away by the flavor. She said was the best she was eaten. I got a large cheese steak and fries . they both were very good and flavorful . If you happen to be looking for a cheese steak stop buy you will not be disappointed. price was very good also.

Great food and service. They brought my food out so fast I thought it was a mistake, but it was definitely mine and it was piping hot! The atmosphere was very laid back and restaurant was super clean.

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with hot peppers and onions. The food came out cooked to order and arrived very hot and fresh. The cost was about $20. Which included a order of French fries and a beer.

I stumbled upon this place on one of my..."gotta eat local endeavors." Straight Outta Philly was a good way to finish up a long day of basketball. Went inside and we order a Chicken Gyro with fries, Pepperoni Stromboli and some Philly Cheesesteaks. Service was fast, customers were coming in and out. This let's me know this is about to be good! When I saw the Phillys wrapped in butchers paper with the grease stains.... I said to myself..... this is a good bad idea! Lol. Portions were more than enough. We ordered small sandwiches, and I was trying to see why anyone would order that large. It's well worth your hard earned money. Not a sad face or empty stomach in sight. Overall I would definitely stop in again to try more items on the menu. *I did eat a Philly earlier this day, and let's just say... this was by far a more superior Cheesesteak! Quality, flavor, price and service. No knock to the other place.... its not worth mentioning! *
